I am happy to announce that we have another New Guest Blogger, Ashlee Collova! Ashlee is from Perth in Australia and is a writer who has her own website, KidStarInterviewsTV.net! She likes to interview and promote young singers on her channel and website. Check out the excellent videos on her YouTube channel! One of my favorites is this video of YouTube Rocker Jes Loren answering Ashlee's interview questions!

In her first guest blog post for us, Ashlee reviews three music videos. One is from a really popular male teen YouTuber, one is from a very young singer, and one is an original song written by a boy for his brother with Diabetes.

15-year-old to Become the Next Big Music Sensation!

I remember back last year I stumbled across 14-year-old Austin Mahone. Austin had approximately 400 subscribers. I joined the pack and subscribed. I liked what I saw in Austin. I am not a professional but what I could see is that Austin had a great singing voice and was creative with his videos. Now, it's been a year and Austin has turned 15, this young boy hailing in from Texas, has gained over 60 million views across the globe plus over 350 000 subscribers to his YouTube Channel! What a year and I have a good feeling that 2012 is going to be even better!

What makes listeners so engaged in his covers is that his voice is very soothing, he can hit the notes well. In his past three covers, he has been producing professional home made music videos filmed by supportive mum, Michele Mahone. The quality is excellent! Austin's attitude in the videos create a really good feel and buzz. He is a true performer and born to be a star. I wish Austin luck in his music career and I am excited to see where he goes with his music.

Sophia Grace, the oh-so Adorable Rapping Princess!

You probably have already came across the video I am about to talk, or should I say, write about! This is because the video has over 29 million views and been broadcasted on various news and radio stations, websites, newspapers and talk shows! The star of the video is now famous just by her first name "Sophia Grace". But just in case you are not familiar with the name maybe you will know who I am talking about when I state her full name "Sophia Grace Brownlee". Sophia Grace became an Internet SENSATION when her acapella cover of Nicki Minaj's hit song "Super Bass" was noticed by celebrities. Justin Bieber, Scooter Braun, Nicki Minaj, Ellen Degeneres and Diddy - just to name a few! Talented 8-year-old Sophia Grace and her younger cousin, Rosie, 5, who also stars in the viral video seen dancing besides Sophia Grace, were invited to appear on The Ellen Degeneres Show more than once! They also had the opportunity to interview their favourite celebrities on the red carpet at the American Music Awards 2011... AND were able to walk the famous red carpet themselves!!!

The video is so popular and successful for quite a few reasons. The talent in Sophia Grace is incredible considering her age. And not many young children can remember lyrics and perform that well! But it wasn't just that, the persona and attitude this young girl carries makes her so funny and cute, it turns into one of those "must watch videos". It makes you smile and will certainly brighten your day.

Big Brother BELIEVES in Making a Difference

As a teenage girl I was searching for new Justin Bieber videos on YouTube (just like every other girl out there!) and I happened to come across a very sweet video. At just nine years old Sebastian has a very big heart and knows how to make a difference. Sebastian's younger brother Jacob who is eight was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at just five. Kind big brother Sebastian wrote and produced a song called "Believe" for his brother to encourage him to be strong in tough times. The song is available to buy on iTunes and all the proceeds from the song will be donated to JDRF which will help find a cure for diabetes.

The music video is very creative using a mix of home videos. The beat and tune of the song is relaxing, calm and beautiful. Please help make a difference and spread Sebastian's song around. I BELIEVE that it's a wonderful thing that Sebastian is doing and I encourage everyone to help. Don't forget to buy the song on iTunes and visit his website http://www.sebastianmusic.biz/.

I get so many nice comments on my YouTube profile page! Recently, Ashlee Collova from KidStarInterviews wrote to suggest that I write about "A few talented male artists, on the run to be making it big!" - and that's just what I am going to do today!

But first, The News!

This week's Featured Video on our Top 100 and Top 200 Charts is a very cool music video of a mash-up of 3 hits - Backseat (New Boys), Till The World Ends (Britney Spears) and Where Them Girls at (David Guetta, Flo rida, Nicki Minaj). This video, with nearly 300 Thousand views, is from Cimorelli - six sisters from Northern CA, ranging in age from 11 to 20, who love to harmonize and dance together! Cimorelli's YouTube channel is cimorellitheband and it has over 237 Thousand subscribers and nearly 60 Million Total Upload Views of their 71 videos. Ben Going (Boh3m3) has been speaking his mind in vlogs since the early days of YouTube. People appreciate his insight and comedy, and even when he left the tube for a long while, the core audience is still enjoying Boh3m3's sometimes outrageous, lightly edited, straight from the heart videos. Ben was an original YouTubeStar, coming in at number 9 on September 11, 2006's Top 100 chart (with 10,086 subs - the 9th person to ever have more then 10,000 subs!), and we're glad he is still giving us a piece of his mind! Watch his monologue about turning 26, click the video (if you don't mind a little adult language).


On June 14th, I told you about the hilarious eHarmony Video Bio video that was going viral. With 11.5 Million views, it wasn't long before the parodies would start. I first became aware of the KidStarInterviews YouTube channel when I saw a tweet from a YouTube pop / rock musician who I REALLY Love, Jes Loren! Jes, who writes original catchy pop rock tunes and has a band that includes her dad on guitar, was interviewed by KidStarInterviews in this video. The lighting is low, but if you watch full screen and turn down the lights in your room, its much better! In any case, the questions are great and Jes gives interesting answers.

Ashlee Collova runs KidStarInterviews and is a teen from Perth, Australia. She has two other videos on her channel - an interview with child actor / singer Anthony Thorsen, and an interview with Australian musician David Campbell. Check out the KidStarInterviews website!

MattyB is an 8 year old who raps! With stats like this - over 266 thousand subs and over 61 million Total Upload Views - MattyBRaps must be talented, right? Yes he is! Check out this brand new video in which MattyB nicely covers "Ice Ice Baby", originally by Vanilla Ice - and WITH Vanilla Ice right there with him, singing and dancing, in This Video!





Jack Vidgen is a 14 year old singer from down under! He was on Australia's Got Talent and has been singing since he was 3 years old. Jack just started his YouTube channel a month ago. Watch this interview where he is asked to sing the next line in several popular tunes, without musical accompanyment. He sounds great!





Austin Mahone is a 15 year old singer from Texas who does a great job of covering Justin Bieber and other pop singers! He has over 87 thousand subs and over 10 million Total Upload Views on his YouTube channel. Justin sings very well and he plays guitar too. Here is his cover of the Bieber mega-hit, "Baby"!






Carson Lueders is a 9 year old singer who also plays guitar and has 3 original Country songs! One of his originals, Big Mouth Bass, won the Country Showdown national songwriting contest in 2010. Here, we will watch Carson (jdlueders) do a great job covering Cody Simpson's "iYiYi". Cody himself commented, "This is incredible Carson! You are truly talented keep it up bro youll go far!" So true!




Ronan Parke is a 12 year old singer from the UK who was runner up on Britian's Got Talent! He has such a strong voice that Simon Cowell just signed him to his Syco record label to compete with Justin Bieber. This young man has a great future in the music business!
