Urgelt recommends sumrhotsumrnot
Hi folks, Urgelt here. Kenny asked me to write a guest feature for his blog here on YouTubeStars. And it just so happens I have the perfect 'tuber in mind for a feature.
Her name is sumrhotsumrnot. Sumr is a young American woman working in Japan. Exactly what her work is, we don't know. It's a mystery! She's signed a nondisclosure agreement for the duration of her stay, but she's promised to "tell all" when her contract ends. If you watch her videos closely, though, you'll pick up a clue here and there. See if you can guess.
I think I'm Boring
Here's a good introductory video, where she worries she is boring, then performs a funny lip-synch to a song from The Little Mermaid.
If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.
My Japanese Lunchbox
But Sumr is more than just another lip syncher. Her videos also tell the tale of a traveler in a foreign land. You'll see and experience Japan through her eyes. She really shines in her travelogues.
Here, Sumr shows us her lunchbox. It's nothing like a happy meal, that's for sure! See how gorgeous all the food is; it's a hallmark of Japanese culture, even for take-out.
If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.
Tsukiji Fish Market
In this next video, Sumr visits the Tsuiji Fish Market. If you're squeamish, you might want to skip this one.
If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.
I was locked up!
And here, she takes us to a restaurant called "The Lockup." Very strange! Her explanations are hilarious, too.
If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.
Sumr has over 30 videos posted to YouTube. If you've ever been curious about what it's like to be an American tourist in Japan, she'll give you the straight skinny. You'll see incredible stage shows featuring men in drag, a trip to the summit of Mt. Fuji, parties with her friends, and more, all with intelligent and amusing commentary. Her travelogues are interspersed with vlogs that are personal and just as interesting.
She's a person you'd enjoy knowing. So pay her a visit! Tell her Urgelt sent you.
