It's almost time for the Holidays! What happens to most of us during the Holidays? We eat too much! We just finished with Halloween so we may have eaten a ton of candy. Next comes Thanksgiving and that is usually a gorge fest. The end of the year is more of the same, as we visit with family and friends. What can we do to stay slim, healthy and in the best shape possible?

Dance Workout!

Watch Heather Vaughn on her JellyBeanNose YouTube channel as she gives a fun tutorial on how to do a workout dance to Psy's huge hit, Gangnam Style. Heather, 23 years old and from Chandler Arizona, is a talented dancer who makes dance cover videos as well as random videos about Korean and Japanese things, kind of what we saw from Miss Hannah Minx.

Here's how to learn this dance workout! First, watch the first part, where Heather talks you through the moves to do during the chorus of the song. Then practice those moves throughout the entire song. Finally, for advanced dancers or workout people, do the rest of the moves that Heather does! Soon you'll be that Sexy Lady or Dude!

Of course the real key to being sexy is to feel confident about yourself and to project that confidence. Wherever you are in life, take stock of the good things in your life, and give thanks for what you have. If you decide to improve any area of your life, set a goal and make a plan. Do research - use YouTube as a source of instruction and motivation. Never compare yourself to others, but strive to be the best you can be. Love yourself as you are and move forward!

Hello my dear readers! I have been checking my stats. We get about 400 page views a day, lately. It seems that several keywords that people search on before they come here have some variation of "YouTube Sex" in them. There are keywords such as youtube se x, youtube sex, you tube sex, and sex on youtube. So to satisfy my readers (pander to my readers?) who want something youtube sex related, here are two videos of people stripping down to their underwear in public. I know the title of this post is YouTube Sex - Stripping Naked in Public, but there are no actual sex acts going on in these videos, nor is anyone naked. But there are lots of people in their underwear, so I hope that satisfies you! 50 years from now, or 100 years or more into the future, when someone is curious about what kinds of undergarments were worn in the early years of the 21st century, researchers may come across this post and learn all they need to know about underwear considered stylish or at least popular in entertainment pieces in the distant past.

We'll start off with a video from way back in 2001 by Alt Emo power pop punk band, Jimmy Eat World. The song is called "The Middle" and tells us that everything everything will be alright alright, kind of like The Beatles told us in Revolution. It went to #5 on the Billboard chart, and you probably remember both the song and the video, which was on heavy rotation on MTV. A bunch of 20-somethings are having a wild house party, and Jimmy Eat World is the entertainment. The theme of the party is - party in your underwear! Panties, bras, boxers, briefs - they are all here in many colors and varieties. Those wearing these under things are in quite good shape, in a stereotypical manner of speaking, according to what society considers to be hot bods. One guy wants to be different from everyone else in the crowd, and you can see what happens to him as the others dance, jump in the pool, drink and make out in refrigerators!

Here's a very recent video by a very new band, that is in a sort of competition with One Direction for the tween to teen and beyond pop music market. One Direction is from the UK and is receiving hundreds of thousands of views on their videos, including the song every teen knows all the words to - "(That's) What Makes You Beautiful". Their competition is 5 Seconds Of Summer, or 5SOS, who are of similar age, appearance and sound, but from Australia. In addition 5SOS play their own instruments and have a little harder rocking sound, which still using the same pop hooks. Last winter, 5 Seconds Of Summer released a song from their new album, titled, "She Looks So Perfect". This video has "only" 70 thousand views; less than most 1D videos. Maybe some tweens are banned by their parents from watching this? "You look so perfect standing there in my American Apparel underwear!" School kids, diner patrons, supermarket shoppers and even a cop strip down to their underwear for no apparent reason, other than to attract attention to this video!

Perhaps you too like to strip down to your underwear in public! Well you better plan ahead and make sure you're wearing new and Clean underwear! Get some at Amazon - they sell everything. Sure, you go there to buy books and music and DVDs and electronics, but dang it get some new clean underwear there too!

Back in the 80s, when MTV actually still Was Music TeleVision, the concept of music videos was fairly new. No one knew exactly what to do or what could be done with a music video. Before MTV and the Music Video revolution of the very early 80s, videos were made for a very few songs as promotional material, designed to boost record sales. But on 8/1/81 when MTV went on the air, or over cable actually, it seemed that every sing needed to have an accompanying video to make it a legit song. That meant that many videos were made on low budgets. Bigger budget videos tried to outdo each other for attention. By late 1983, Michael Jackson released a 13-minute music video for "Thriller," directed by famous Hollywood film director John Landis.

Taylor Swift goes back through the years and alludes to styles and cliches used in previous songs and videos. This is what happens in the entertainment world. People "borrow" lyrical ideas and video looks that others have used in the past. If done right, with enough modification and injection of personal style, people accept the allusion to past works and it helps them identify with the current offering. However, if people feel that the artist is blatantly ripping off previous works, they will complain of plagiarism. Both opinions are represented in reviews of Taylor Swift's new song, "Shake It Off".

It is likely that Taylor Swift will Shake Off most criticism of her latest song, "Shake It Off" because the song is actually about ignoring haters. Have a look and decide for yourself. Is this popular new Taylor Swift video, with 3 million views on day one and now 15 million views on day two, a tribute or a rip off or something entirely different?

Yesterday saw the release of the new Nicki Minaj video, Anaconda. This video is also controversial, also features elements from the past, and includes lots of dancing. In this case, the connection to the past is deliberate. The song includes samples from the 1986 hit dance song, "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-Lot. That song told of Mister Mix's appreciation of women who had a figure that was little in the middle but having much back. His Anaconda didn't want none unless she had buns. He obviously liked big butts and he could not lie about it.

So Nicki Minaj made a video celebrating the effect of her twerking butt on someone's Anaconda. In addition to twerking scenes, the video features banana eating and whipped cream shooting on Nicki's chest. Some say this video promotes porn and strip clubs. Take a look and decide for yourself. If you are a parent with young children, you might be interested to see this very popular video by Nicki Minaj that got 10 million views on day one, and decide if your children should see this or not.

Classic Sights and Sounds!

THE SHAG - Stop And Listen - 60s Garage Rock song!



This is a powerhouse of a garage track written and performed by a band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin called at first Shags, then Shag.

The band consisted of 4 musicians. They began performing folk and blues music. However, they became eager to move on when they heard the music of the Rolling Stones and other rock bands of that era. Shag performed their own material and were known for wearing outlandish costumes. They also used special effects After playing parties, schools and small clubs, they moved on and in 1967 they were signed by Capitol Records. They recorded "Stop and Listen" on Capitol.

This track is one of the fist anti-drug rock songs to be recorded. In 1969 they appeared at the Midwest Rock Festival in Milwaukee which featured a number of known musicians.

Shag split up in 1971. But in the 1990's and later, "Stop and Listen" was included on several CD compilations of 60's Garage Band Recordings. On "Boulders" they are featured in Volume I and "Highs in the Mid-Sixties volume 10.

Becoming more current, in 2005, the bands 1969 recordings were released on Gear Fab Records. It's no surprise that the track called "Stop and Listen" has made many rock music lovers do just that.


1960's inspired movie DIRTY DANCING achieves spectacular success



The soundtrack to this film gave a 1960's flair since it is supposed to take place in the Summer of 1963, where the summer wind, the carefree days of ice pops and rock n roll bring people to the hotel for family and friends and activities. One such activity offered is dancing lessons (like Mambo). One of the guests (Jennifer Grey) falls for the dancing instructor (Patrick Swayze) and they begin a relationship.

The film was made in 1987 with a limited 5 million dollar budget. So here was this low budget film with no major stars except Broadway legend/TV star Jerry Orbach in a supportive role. It's the Summer of 1963 and the scene is a Catskill Mountain hotel. Actually it was filmed in Lake Lure, North Carolina and Mountain Lake. The weather turned out to be very hot and sticky and a portion of the cast passed out after 20 minutes of filming. Then the weather became very cold. Conditions were not that great and to complicate matters, the film was on a tight schedule - two weeks for rehearsals and 44 days for filming.

Dirty Dancing was based on the childhood/teen years of one of the screenwriters. The next step was finding backing, financial and promotion. They did their rounds and after hearing "no" finally found the company that liked the idea.

The soundtrack really moves this film - "Be My BAby" by the Ronettes, "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, "Do You Love Me" by the Contours, "In the Still of the Night" by the Five Satins, "Hey Baby by Bruce Channel, "Hungry Eyes" by Eric Carmen and more. In the "final dance" scene, the song (I've had) The Time of My Life, a great dance number that became very popular and won both the Golden Globe and an Academy Award for best original song. Also, a Grammy was won for best duet. The "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack generated two multi platinum albums and multiple singles. This was the first film to sell more than a million copies on home video.

On YouTube, "Dirty Dancing" has well over 250 million hits. The music carries the story with the drama that takes place at the mountain hotel. The two stars of the movie, Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swazye, had worked together on other films and had trouble relating to each other. The screenwriter had a brilliant idea. She suggested "parties" that go on after the daily filming, this way the actors began to "feel their roles". Everything fell into place. After the movie was released, a stage version was popular in Australia, Europe and North America.

I think the dancing AND the music brought this film it's great everlasting success. Many who watch the film once, will watch it again and again.


Mama Loves Mambo - The Honeymooners



The show that has a lot of nostalgia is called "The Honeymooners". It can be watched on YouTube, and it's worry free as far as paying for the viewing of the "Classic 39", well - it can be bought in a video store. There is a lot of fascinating merchandise - cookie jars, salt & pepper shakers, posters, calendars and more. The 39 episodes are on YouTube and the average YouTube rating is according to episode. A total of all episodes shows how appreciated the American sitcom is. The Honeymooners was built on The Jackie Gleason Show. Jackie Gleason was a well known comedian and creator of the show and it's sketches from start to finish.The first show aired October 31, 1955. The story is one of the first U.S. TV shows to portray working class married couples living in a rundown Brooklyn apartment house. The final episode was on September 22, 1956. The show was very popular, in it's first season it became the #2 show in the USA. With the Perry Como show, there was competition that pushed The Honeymooners to the 19th spot. Production ended after only 39 episodes. The Honeymooners were filmed before a live audience in New York City, in the Park Sheraton Hotel.

I always loved this show. It opens with a theme song and a beautiful picture of Brooklyn nights, complete with nostalgic brownstones, stars and a full moon. The show is meant to be funny - Jackie Gleason plays a NYC bus driver. He & his wife Alice Kramden live in a run down Brooklyn apartment house but have many friends, a few live in the same building. Alice occasionally works but basically is a stay at home wife. Despite the financially squeezed characters, there is glamour and artistic beauty in the basic story, the episodes and the background. There is jazz music, a new tenant gives the neighbors Mombo lessons in the Kramden apartment, and there is mention of the "Hong Kong Gardens" where Alice likes to go dancing and have Chinese food. The Kramden's apartment faces the back of a Chinese restaurant. The comedy was and still is loved by many. People who weren't born when the show was airing have found it to be interesting in a lot of different ways.

To keep the show going, Jackie Gleason sometimes did hour long specials or sketches until 1978. At one point, CBS network worked with the Honeymooners & Jackie Gleason. Though there were some changes, the show remains strong in the USA. Viewers find it refreshingly humorous and nostalgic.

I just read an article at LookingForClues, a website I sometimes write for (my articles - here). The name of the article is "Banned Sex Music Videos on YouTube - Is There Too Much Sex In Music Videos?" I decided to do some research and see if these music videos that the article says show sex and nudity are actually on YouTube. I did find the videos on YouTube and some do show nude girls.

If you are a parent, you should know that these kinds of videos are on YouTube. You can watch them yourself and then decide if you want your children to see them. The article says that this kind of thing could be harmful to the young. They may "think that they must achieve physical perfection, and an obsession with body image can lead to unnecessary dieting." I tend to agree.

Here are some music videos that are mentioned in the article. Beware - there is some nudity in some of these videos.

This video was never banned and the author of the article mentions it as an example of how to be subtle when depicting sexual themes in a music video.

If you are over 18, you can decide for yourself what you want to spend time watching. If you have young children, you might want to do some research to find out what is shown in some YouTube videos.

Our guest blogger, Diana (beautiful picture at left), is back with an interesting review of 4 videos by MissHannahMinx. We first found HannahMinx on YouTube last Fall. She is a college student who likes to wear cat-ear headbands and speak Japanese. She is a black haired punk rock fan with big eyes and a cute voice. She is 21, lives in Philadelphia, and is a single Scorpio.

Last November, Hannah had just a few thousand subscribers. This week, she moves up 3 spots on the Top 200 chart to #190 by adding 4812 new subs last week, for a total of 87,362! You are about to notice, as you see the video thumbnails below, that Hannah uses a downward camera angle and low cut shirts to show off her cleavage. Get past the YouTube sex stereotype and give Hannah a chance. Watch the videos and see if you don't find her to be pleasant and entertaining!

Ok, so there are lots of comments on her videos about why she uses the word "Minxy". In this video, she explains it in an upbeat and adorable way while flaunting her Extreme Sex Appeal to both sexes. She looks amazing and sexy while still keeping a classy look about herself. I adore her look.

As a large chested plus size model I see how men look at us and to be honest its not always wanted. If you wear a low cut shirt, you are looking to be sexy but still respected. The comments I have read on her pages are disgusting and crude and yet she does Not delete them. They say she is looking for attention but I think she is so comfortable with herself that she does not care who reads the bad comments because she knows she is a strong and beautiful women and I for one say GO FOR IT GIRL!!!





Ahhh, now were you the Minxy Akuma (Devil) or the Minxy Tenshi (Angel) when you made a hard choice today? What a great video! LOL, well now who is Wrap cat? He is an adorable cat who is wrapped for some reason in bandages. He also has a little sister named boot! I can't say I understand what this video was about but I will say it kept me watching till the end, LOL... What an interesting little minx this girl is, a modern day Elvira. I love the fact she is not just sitting there talking but she uses effects and greenscreening to spice up her videos. I can honestly say I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!!
