Happy Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving! This is the holiday where we give thanks for the good things in our lives, like the internet and YouTube! This Thursday, we'll gather with the family and have multi-course meals with turkey as the main course. Then on Friday, it's off to the mall to see what shopping bargains await us.
Shop at Amazon.com!
Black Friday, as it has come to be called, since the retailers hope the huge volume of business will put them "in the black," is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season. This year, don’t fight the crowds when you can shop online at Amazon.com from the convenience (and comfort) of your keyboards. Amazon will have amazing deals to help you get holiday shopping done for less. Their Black Friday page is the central point to find all their Black Friday deals, including the Gold Box hourly deals featured from midnight to 11pm PST and thousands of products that are on sale for a limited time only. Please help out YouTubeStars by doing your online shopping at Amazon.com. You'll get amazing deals and we'll get a little commission. Thanks in advance!

Twilight, the movie, opened last week and had ticket sales of over $70 million at the box office in its first weekend! Of course, everyone over at the TeamTwilighter YouTube channel was excited! (Visit the TeamTwilighter website!) Here's a review of the movie from Katie:

Story Behind Song: Many of many firsts for me. My first to write a song in German (1hr). My first to sing a song in German. My first to have Kaiser sit for as long as 5 mins XD (that's why you see me singing to him, a way of me saying "stay, sit" while singing). Searching youtube to better my Deutsch, I found out there weren't any Learn German through songs, so I decided to write one=) Germany has been great to me. Beautiful Country, rich in history and kind people. This is my way of paying it forward of having the world learn a little more Deutsch through song. I just hope the Native Deutsch speakers are forgiving=) Danke Schon to my German friends Arnold and Dagmar who have helped me with the translations and with my attempted pronunciation! tc, JC.

Renetto did a short series of Political Satire videos last week. Did you think he was serious when he said you would be selling your soul to the Devil if you voted for Obama? How about when he said the Democrats were happy about the hurricane heading to New Orleans during the Republican Convention? It was Satire, people! Many people didn't think so. Watch and let Renetto explain it all.

And, kid, you're sick
Darling, this is it
Well you can all just kiss off into to the air
Behind my back
I can see that stare
They'll hurt me bad but I won't mind
They'll hurt me bad they do it all the time
(...)
I take one one one cause you left me And two two two for my family
And three three three for my heartache And four four four for my headaches
And five five five for my lonely
And six six six for my sorrow
And seven seven for no tomorrow
And eight eight I forget what eight was for
But nine nine nine for the lost gods
Ten ten ten ten for everything everything everything

Well you can all just kiss off into to the air
Behind my back
I can see that stare
They'll hurt me bad but I won't mind

The Man Show

Here's four interesting videos from four YouTube guys. We'll see two music videos - one is a cover of a classic Sinatra song and the other is an original song about YouTube Stars! Then we'll hear from two of the "wise men" of YouTube as they talk about violence and morality in the online age.

First, some news! Our new widgets site, www.MyYTStats.com, is doing very well! The beautiful and talented juggler/comedian of YouTube, OlgaKay, just added our widget to her Homepage and her Blog. Go see! And get the Total Video Views widget for YOUR website too!

Marina - HotForWords (my new friend, see this post) - was on The O'Reilly Factor with Bill O'Reilly last Monday night! They talked about the origin of five words that Bill likes to use on his show. I was very happy to hear him mention how many Total Video Views Marina has received on YouTube! He got that data from our Total Video Views widget, which appears front and center on the www.HotForWords.com website. Excellent appearance, Marina! And thanks, Bill O'Reilly for indirectly promoting our Total Video Views widget!

Did you notice that last week, our friend VenetianPrincess debuted at number 56 on the Top 100 Weekly Chart? WOW, that's amazing! Jodie went from just over 27 thousand subscribers on 4/6 to over 43 thousand on 4/13! (See her chart, here) She has been getting good press coverage in newspapers and on TV, and her latest parody vid about Hillary Clinton - Hillary, Be My Best Friend - has over 800 thousand views in its first 10 days. Congrats on your success, Jodie!

Here are two contests you should check out. The first is the Colgate Max Fresh Contest on MySpaceTV that Jennifer Newberry is in. Click here and vote for Jennifer! The second is the TotalPopStar contest with YouTube ladies Krista Nicole (KristaHeartzuz), Jessica Sanchez (JSanchezFan) and Rebecca Shearing (bexboop878) all in the Finals. Click here for more info!

Now, on with the show!

Smooth crooner Daniel Bonaire performs a great cover of a song originally done by Frank Sinatra. Daniel sings the song to his favorite female YouTubeStars. He includes pics of the ladies in his video. I'll be sure to mention some of them and their videos in future posts here on YouTubeStars! If you enjoy this song by Daniel, go watch his other music videos. He has 11 so far and they're all very good!

PeriUrban has replied to another video that was about the Florida teens who jumped one of their teen girl friends, on his urbanblog channel. His point is that every generation thinks the younger generation is behaving badly compared to how their own generation used to be. But that's not true, and we shouldn't look back - Peri believes we should act charitably while working to create a better future. Peri and friends are working on a new site where people can express themselves in a responsible way. Let's see what they come up with!

Tom, tlg847, responded to the same video that Peri responded to. His thought is that our perspective is limited, we only see certain things at certain times. We don't realize that the world is actually getting more civilized over time. Despite the shocking headlines we see everyday, we are actually living in the safest most civilized moment in history. He references a talk by the brilliant Harvard Evolutionary Psycologist Steven Pinker, watch that video too!

YouTube Interaction

One of the best things about YouTube is that people who watch a video can respond to it in the comments and by a video response. This creates a conversation about the subject matter of the video. Often, the comment section adds so much to the understanding of an issue because a YouTuber can see different sides of the issue - different points of view. As long as people express their thoughts in a respectful way, this is a good thing! When commenters just spew hate in order to get a rise out of the video poster and the comment readers, it is best to ignore the commenter since they often leave these kinds of comments just to get attention - be it positive or negative. The human drive for social interaction is very strong, and YouTube can fulfill that need to some degree. Let's continue to do what we can to make YouTube a constructive community where it is possible to have an overall positive experience.

Here are four videos about interaction on YouTube. The first is a short bio from one of our favorite singers, in which she also discusses commenters. Next, we'll hear from one of the "wise men" of YouTube on the topic of what to do when certain people threaten others online. Then, we'll see a response video on the same topic, from a member of the former eNation. Finally, we'll have a look at a controversial video and the lively and heartfelt discussion that ensued in it's comments.

please visit MyYTStats.com!First, some news! I recently heard from Marina of the HotForWords channel about the importance of the "Total Video Views" stat. Apparently, people who want to get an idea of how well you're doing on YouTube are interested in knowing how many views all of your videos together have received. It seems that YouTube does not publish this piece of information anywhere. Marina asked if I could find that number for her. I created a widget that anyone can put on any of their websites (MySpace, Facebook, their own personal sites) which simply provides a YouTuber's Total Video Views number in text form. HotForWords is already using the widget on her website. The widget can be styled just like any other text - change the font, font size, colors - to whatever suits you. We created a website to support this new widget enterprise: www.MyYTStats.com. Please go there and see what we have so far. We have several versions of this Total Video Views text widget - one scrolls and one fades in and out. They are all available for YOUR use on YOUR websites, for FREE!

Tom, tlg847, pulls no punches as he discusses how threats to people and their families are handled in "life" and on YouTube and the Internet. He uses "bad language" to make his point. Is "it's only the Internet" a valid excuse for threatening and/or nasty behavior? Join in on the discussion by commenting or making a video response! Several interesting websites were mentioned in the comments. One is an ACLU page that talks about Civil Liberties in the "Summary of Argument" section. Another briefly describes the Avogato Trust Metric. Tom has been working with Renetto, PeriUrban and KenRG on a new website which Tom mentioned in this video and in the last video here. The final frames in that video tell us what the new website's name might be. This picture is from that video.

Last week, popular vlogger and artist Paperlilies made this video to announce her latest art competition. Bryony has done quite a lot to foster the art community on YouTube. She has painted several pictures on camera and auctioned them off on eBay. Tom, tlg847, bought one of the first ones. Bryony has sponsored other art competitions which gathered a good amount of participation and interest from the YouTube community. This time, her well known wit, sometimes veering into snarky territory, was deemed to be offensive to several members of the YouTube community. There have been almost 800 comments on the video so far, many on the topic of religion. Have a look and if you have an opinion, leave your comment!

Second San Francisco YouTube Gathering

As mentioned in our last post, the second San Franciso YouTube Gathering took place last weekend. There have been many videos uploaded that show what happened at the event. Here is a collection of some of the best videos of this YouTube Gathering.

First, an interesting new item. It has just been reported that Steve Chen, co-founder of YouTube, recently stated that live streaming video would be added to the list of featured offer by YouTube by the end of this year. Of course, these capability is already available to users of StickAm and LiveVideo. In fact, I watched parts of the live feed of the event on LiveVideo last weekend! I put up the link to this live feed in our last post; I hope you got a chance to check in and see what was happening! Live streaming video is just another reason to sign up with LiveVideo, even if you already have a YouTube account. Please click on the blue "Less Tube. More You!" ad in the upper left corner of this page to go to LiveVideo.

In one of the videos below, a new website is mentioned - TubeCloud. Go there and enter a YouTube channel name and it goes in the cloud. The more people that enter that channel, the bigger the tag in the cloud. Its basically a tag cloud of YouTubers. Click here to nominate my YouTube channel on TubeCloud. Here's another person to nominate on TubeCloud, TiffanyJoAllen. She's a rising YouTubStar singer that we've mentioned here before.

Now, on to the San Francisco YouTube Gathering Video! (Beware of language in some of these videos!)

we discussed the future of online community, the nature of
connecting through video, and building a web site based on our shared
vision of how it could be.

We are not anti-YouTube. We love this site. But we dream of something
even better, and have a plan of how to get there. Stay tuned for more
information as we're able to share it.

When companies grow, they move in different directions. That movement means others can focus on areas they've left behind. That's what we're talking about. YouTube continues to change the world. We want to change it in other ways.

Happy Valentine's Day!

There are many videos on YouTube for and about Valentine's Day. Here's a link to a list of them. Find someone to love today and give them a hug, send them an email, IM them, or just leave a nice comment on one of their videos. We love all our readers; thanks for visiting YouTubeStars! :)

One piece of news, then we'll watch some videos. There is an interesting debut this week on the Weekly Top 100 Chart. No, I'm not talking about Barack Obama, although his BarackObamaDotCom channel did debut this week at number 86. I'm talking about MRirian, a young Japanese lady who often does very little in her videos - many times she doesn't even talk. Why is everyone watching and subscribing? Because Miss Magibon looks exactly like a real life Anime Character! She has huge eyes, a small pointed chin and an adorable smile. If you haven't seen her, follow the link above - or visit the Top 100 Chart and click on her, she's number 100 this week. See why she has over 23 Thousand subscribers and over One Million Profile views!

Now, here are a few videos that have nothing to do with Valentine's Day! Enjoy them anyway. :p

Who is Kina Grannis? Kina is a talented young singer/songwriter/guitarist who recently won a major contest with huge exposure! Here's the scoop from Kina's Profile:

Doritos Crash the SuperBowl WINNER!

- what ARE you??? half japanese :)
- what kind of guitar do you have? taylor 814-ce
- where are you from? orange county, ca
- how old are you? contrary to what you might think, i'm 22,
not 16 :)

- do you have any cds? yes, they can be purchased from
www.kinagrannis.com or on itunes!

- how can i contact you? *not* via youtube messaging,
preferably. it's gotten very backed up and it's hard for me to keep track of
messages on there. i do my best to respond, but it's difficult and slow. so this
is better:

The Mystery of Beauty

Okay, here's a video that has a little something to do with Valentine's Day. It's about beauty. Studies have shown that people are more likely to rate a face as beautiful if the person depicted has clear skin and symmetrical features. This is an indication to our subconscious brain that the person is healthy and would most likely be a good mate to raise a family with. If you use computer technology to morph together a bunch of real people's faces, you'll get an averaging of features which creates a composite with symmetrical features. People will most likely rate this composite as beautiful. Watch the video for more!

PeriUrban just keeps on making cool music videos! This one features Peri singinging his original song as he plays along on his acoustic guitar - but wait, there's more! Peri always sings and plays his guitar, but this time he added a very cool electric guitar track that adds a real rockin' kick to the tune. His singing is strong; it starts out mellow enough, but then Peri gets loud and raspy - driving home his point that the videomaking community is always changing as time goes by. Please keep checkng back here at YouTubeStars for the latest in what's going on in the YouTube community; thanks!

Wisdom, Winner, Kitty, Cat

I've found four new videos for you all to see! One has quotes on Wisdom. One announces contest winners; I was one of them! One is a popular Morphing Kitty viddy, and the last is a philosophy video from a "cat".

First, let's have a look at this week's Top 100 chart. Our Featured video comes from Pippilly. She is an attractive lady with a great smile who has made 55 videos since she joined in March. This week, Pippilly became my 100th subscriber! I checked out her videos and subscribed to her in return.

The big news from this week's chart is the debut of Mememolly. Molly enters the chart at the number 95 spot after a gain of over 5 Thousand subscribers this week. The interest is due to her popular "are you anybody's favourite person?" video that we reported on just last week. YouTube featured the video the day after we wrote about it. The video now has almost 1.3 Million views, over 10 Thousand comments and over 200 Video Responses! Congrats, Molly!

The other "big thing" this week was the blow up and make up between Renetto and PeriUrban. Peri vented on Paul's recent videos and about their interaction concerning the WeTube / eNation project. Tom (tlg847), Mike (Argentium009) and Steph (livingpassion) commented by video as the conflict unfolded. Within a few days, they seemed to be satisfied with each other's video responses and now the matter seems to be resolved. This is a big win for the YouTube Community!

Quotations of Wisdom

Here's a video of quotes from wise men and woman, from the days of the ancient Greeks to today. This 8-minute film is just one of 123 interesting and insightful videos from psychtruth. The videos cover timely topics in nutrition and psychology. Check them out and learn something new!

If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.

CD Lottery The 10 Winners!!!! - Jennifer Newberry

If you've been watching YouTube for any length of time, you know that there are many attractive women there. One of the most attractive and talented women of YouTube is Jennifer Newberry. Recently, she posted a video on her channel asking people to enter a contest to win one of 10 of her latest music CDs. I entered and I won! The adorable Ms Newberry announces the winners of her contest in this video. See my name at 2:03? I'm a winner! Jennifer promptly sent out the CD along with a hand written note; how sweet! I'm listening to the CD right now and it's great! Be sure to check out Jennifer's Sellaband page and buy some "parts" - I did!

If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.

Kitty said what? - Morphing Kittens

Have you seen this creative and funny cat video yet? It's had over 2.5 Million views in 2.5 months! PhotoAnimationGuy did a great job with this one. If you like it, be sure to see the remix version and this cute fan video. Enjoy!

If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.

Why, why, why.

"I have a question for you philosophers out there... Why does anything matter?" We all think about the deep questions of life from time to time. Existentialistcat talks about questions on her mind in this thoughtful and thought-provoking film. Read through some of the 130+ comments and see what viewers think about the questions Kim poses. Be sure to watch more of Kim's 32 videos which include music videos and deep vlogs. This young woman is attractive, intelligent and talented. Please subscribe to her channel; I did!

777

Yesterday was lucky 7/7/07. The date shows up once every 100 years and people thought that since 7 is supposed to be a lucky number, 7/7/07 should be a super-lucky day. Check the news - it didn't work out very well for some people in Iraq. But there were two big events that happened yesterday, the Live Earth concerts and the YouTube Gathering in New York. We have videos from both events, as well as a thought-provoking one from PeriUrban and a really cool improv'ed short from the 10$ movie club.

First, the News. The biggest mover on this week's YouTube Top 100 chart is jordanjohnson. Jordan moved up 34 spots to the number 61 position. He is a pop singer, and according to his website: "Jordan is currently touring the United States, and has been performing and signing autographs in many of the malls and music stores across the country. In addition, he has had the opportunity to open for artists such as Jesse McCartney, Hilary Duff, Ryan Cabrera, The Click Five, Nick Lachey, The Cheetah Girls, and Aaron Carter."

The highest debut this week is rockongoodpeople at number 86. This is the new channel from David Taub, formerly of thenextlevelguitar YouTube channel. Thenextlevelguitar channel, home of very popular guitar lessons, was taken down last week due to copyright violations according to this NPR news story. Watch this video for more information.

Also big news this week is the Jesari/Young YouTubers scandal. It has been said that these channels were made by young YouTubers, possibly under the YouTube minimum age of 13. YouTube shut them down without any warning or explanation. See Tom's (tlg847) video and UpDownMostly's video on this subject.

Finally, there are now some videos on YouTube with "small banner [ads] at the bottom of the video you're playing. It appears a few seconds into the video and the user can ... click on it to see the ad..." I have not seen any videos with these banner ads yet. I wonder what the reaction of the viewers will be to this. Read the full news story here.

The Police Live Earth - Message In A Bottle

The Live Earth concert series took place this weekend with shows in cities on 7 continents. Over 100 artists played to an audience estimated to be 2 billion people. The Police got back together to play one of their classic hits, with help from John Mayer and Kanye West. Comments on this video almost unanimously pan West's performance. Watch and see what you think! For more information on Live Earth, visit the official website. I like the idea of saving energy and money with Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs). You can buy CFLs at Walmart. Be part of the solution, not the problem!

Cliff Notes of NYC 777

Here's some thoughts and brief clips from the New York City 7/7/07 YouTube Gathering, as presented by nalts. Nalts is one of the people being paid by YouTube for their videos. He is at number 62 this week on the weekly chart. You'll see spricket24, happyslip, brookers and others in this video. Looks like they had a great time!

Just A Video Warehouse?

What is YouTube for? What does it provide for you? Is it just a place to upload videos for your friends to see, or is it a place to meet new friends and be part of a community? Some just come to watch and others want to change the world by creating their own eNation. PeriUrban shares his questions and possible answers in this video about the YouTube community. Check out the video and all the comments!

10$ Movie Club Presents "Unhinged"

Here's a great short movie that I discovered on the Your Tube Stats service's list of All Videos. This service lets users track their number of subscribers weekly It also lets users keep a list of their Favorite Videos from YouTube AND LiveVideo. Users can rate, tag and write notes on each video in their List.

This cool thriller movie was made by editorfree who lives in L.A. and works as a movie trailer creator. It stars Leah Ann Cevoli (LeahAnn4) as the female lead who is stalked by her ex-boyfriend. Be sure to check out Leah's videos, especially her voiceover work as Animated Characters from the hit cartoon "Robot Chicken" and her appearance on Geek Rawk talking about her role in HBO's series Deadwood.

Songs, and a songster's comedy

In this post, I'll show you three music videos. The first is from a marvelous singer who sings to purchased backing tracks. The other two are from singer/songwriters with guitars. We'll end this post with a funny but insightful comedy sketch from one of the best and most popular musicians on YouTube.

First, let's have a look at this week's YouTube Top 100 Weekly Chart. There's only one switch in positions in the Top 20 and not much movement in the rest of the chart, either! Is this the calm before the storm? Will there be a wave of new videomakers climbing the charts in the coming months, as many YouTubers begin their summer vacation? We'll just have to wait and see! There is one big mover, communitychannel. Natalie jumped up 36 positions with her 4204 new subscribers this week, to land at the Number 61 spot! Check her out!

The 2BuxMall, a place to make your own Store where you can promote or sell things, went online for testing this week. So far, there are 8 test Stores open. Many of the links on the Store pages are live; visit some of the Stores and see for yourself! For more on the 2BuxMall, see the FAQ and Blog.

Every Little Star

Oh my! YsabellaBrave keeps making the best singing videos on YouTube! This time, MaryAnne sings an early 60s hit originally sung by Linda Scott. (Actually, the words and music were written by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II for the 1932 Broadway musical "Music In The Air") The song also appeared in David Lynch's enigmatic movie, "Mulholland Drive". This video is cuteness to the max! Have a look...

Shine Your Light

Here's a nice song from a singer/songwriter who goes under the YouTube name of eatmorecookies. I'm doing that right now and have to be careful not to get any crumbs in the keyboard! This Nashville man has uploaded 20 videos in the month that he has been a member. They all feature him accompanying his singing with his guitar playing. This video is eatmorecookies' newest addition. It was recorded in one take with no editing. The chord changes are enjoyable and his singing is very good. Check out this uplifting video!

Dear Ovaries (original)

As they used to say on Monty Python, "and now for something completely different..." Here is a song by singer/songwriter StitchedElf - and even she admits "...it's weird...". I think its a creative music video by a young lady with a very nice voice. Gina has uploaded 12 videos; some are originals and some are covers. They are all quite good! Watch this video here, then click over to YouTube to read the lyrics. They're pretty unique!

No-One Makes Videos Any More....

Leprechauns are real! There's one in this video, and he's a pretty good psychologist! This funny yet insightful video from popular singer/songwriter Periurban looks into the thoughts and feelings that people may have as they progress through their videomaking career. Watch as Peri converses with his inner self about the ups and downs of YouTube popularity.

Periurban and Renetto

This is a copy of a post made to the 2BuxMall Blog.

Periurban and Renetto, two popular YouTube videomakers, have recently made videos about a meeting they had in which a new video sharing concept was discussed. This new concept may seek to fix some of the problems that the YouTube users community has been experiencing, such as communication problems via video comments and YouTube messages, and abuse of some of the Terms of Service by many members. This new concept may also lead to individual ownership of their own channels and a democratic system of governing the operations.

From what I am able to see, this new concept seems to be a very good idea! It is worth trying, and I am very interested to see if this concept is implemented and to see what they put in place to deal with some of these issues.

Our 2BuxMall system addresses some of these same issues. We hope to roll out the system in a slow and orderly manner, addressing issues as they develop. 2BuxMall Store owners are selected by invitation only, so we can match the volume of business with our ability to provide the community with good service.

Individual owners will have a good deal of control over their own Stores. They can customize its appearance and decide what to promote or sell. We intend to provide a micropayment system to make it easy to pay for purchases made through our system.

I don't think our system could be classified as being run in a democratic way. It will be the case that everyone who becomes a user will have been invited by someone who already is a user. We feel that responsible community members will recommend other responsible people for invitation. There will also be a Level system which may help people to feel a certain amount of trust in users who have moved up in Level, which would indicate that they are active and positive members of our community.

I think that any discussion of the way in which positive people can group together in a community that can be helpful to themselves and others, is a good discussion to have! Here are the videos from Periurban and Renetto on this subject. We hope to participate in this creation of a better experience for the videomaking community.

Projects

I've been hearing about a lot of YouTubers becoming involved in interesting projects lately. Recently, I wrote about LittleLoca's movie project and Geriatric1927's music making project. Today I'll tell you about some other projects that you might want to check out. We'll see and hear the latest music project from capo420420, learn about an interesting, active and growing forum for discussing videos, and get an update from Periurban on a community project that he may be working on with Renetto and others.

First, let's have a look at this week's YouTube Top 100 Weekly Chart. There is hardly any movement at all in the Top 20. I did notice an interesting person at the number 80 position this week, up 12 from last week - applemilk1988. Emily (visit her website) is a soon-to-be 18 year old from Florida who has made 41 vlog and random comedy videos since she joined YouTube last October. She has been experiencing a surge in subscriptions lately. It was only a week ago that she made a vlog about approaching 9000 subscribers. Now she is over 10,400! Check out her videos (including this secret one) and see why she is getting a lot of attention lately.

At the tail end of the chart, we welcome Spricket24. Karen, one of my favorite videomakers, debuts this week at number 98. Long time popular videomaker Morbeck is hanging on at number 99 this week, down 2 from last week. Lets see if he's still on the chart next week!

youtube forum TubeRavers.com 2

In January, along with a new year came a new forum to discuss videos - TubeRavers.com. Three months later, over 150 members are posting on this active and interesting forum. Admin StormBeforeTheCalm (watch this thought-provoking vid by Sean) has been doing an excellent job of setting up many interesting features on this forum. I contributed by adding a video details box that shows up to the right of videos that users embed in their posts. Watch this little intro video to TubeRavers, then go and join our fun group!

If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.

Charlotte North Carolina's Jeff Williams "Helpless"

There are very few YouTubers like capo420420. Jeff is a man with a heart as big as the sounds that he gets from his guitar. Anyone who has gotten to know Mister Williams knows of his enthusiasm, love of the community and his passion for music. Jeff shows his support for the community by helping other musicians and videomakers. He helps others by encouraging them to respond to his videos, which help them to get viewed. His amazing Blindfolded video has 124 response vids and his PROFILE ICON PaRTy, where people respond with their profile pics, has 127 responses, WOW! Jeff is a popular man with over 3100 subscribers but he still finds the time to create projects like these response video parties which are very helpful to the community. Let's check out this YouTubeStar's latest video!

If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.

An Open Letter To Renetto

What's up with Periurban's latest video? Peri, well known singer/songwriter (I love this song of his!) has been trying to keep a secret. I'm not sure what it is! At first, I thought he knew some inside info about YouTube's long rumored but yet to be seen revenue sharing plan (see this vid). Then I watched this mysterious video where he vlogged about being handed a big secret (from Renetto?) Now, some of the secret has been revealed! Peri has been wonderful at starting interesting discussions in the community and this time I'm sure there will be lots of interesting comments. Watch this then leave YOUR comment.

If you can't see the video above, watch it on YouTube.

We're doing a project too! Please have a look at our 2Bux web application. We're getting ready to roll out and test the 2BuxMall section of this project. A big thank-you to the persons who have volunteered for beta testing! We have our team set up now and next week, we'll get started in this exciting experiment. Let's see where we can take this!
