Here are 6 cool music videos for you to watch as you remember the Summer of 2009 and look forward to the Fall. We have 4 original songs and 2 cover songs. I picked out these videos from my list of recent Favorites, and Diana wrote up the reviews. Enjoy!

Taylor Sumner is a 13 year old girl who loves to sing and write her own music. All I can say is, "Wow!" 13 years old and you can see and hear the passion in this girl. This is a video of her singing an original song called Pointless that she wrote and plays the guitar in. This is an adorable music video made by Taylor that you have just got to see... ( Did I say she was 13? I mean wow really now 13 and she sings, writes her own songs and plays the guitar "WOW!" )




Heidi is a young 25 year old Australian woman from the city of Gold Coast. Heidi is here in this amazing YouTube video singing her original song called Here I come. What a clear and beautiful voice this woman has. "Amazing!" I had to subscribe as soon as I heard this. There is a perfect balance of harmony and the music has such a calming beauty, I would call it enchanting. Come and see what I mean; you wont be disappointed!




This is an original song called My Constant sung and written by YouTube user bri3jet. An amazing sound with the cross between Christian-R&B and soul. She has a powerful and a breathy voice that goes wonderfully with this song. It amazes me everyday, the talent and people you can find on YouTube. You have got to hear this girl's song that leaves you with a smile and a peaceful feeling. Watch, you'll see what I mean.




Jenny Lane is an amzing talent from Amsterdam. Jenny's love for music, singing, dancing and the need to be creative shows in this music video called Say Say Say that she Co-Produced and wrote. This is a great video, so much fun to watch and I think worthy of MTV right now, as is. She is having a blast doing this and it shows. You can see the work that went into making this. I loved it so much, I added it to my Favorites as soon as it was over. I have to say Jenny Lane just made herself a new fan here. You have got to watch; check this girl out!




This lively 19 year old girl made a video of her own for the song Handlebars. I have to be honest, I have never heard of this song before and its not something I think I would listen to on my own. But she is just so cute, using her talent of being silly and fun to make people laugh and have a good time. What more could you ask for? Okay, are you ready to smile? Come and have a look at this!




Emily is 17 years old and from Hertfordshire in the UK. She has been dancing from the age of 3 and singing since the age of 11, and it shows. In this video Emily is singing "There's a Fine Fine Line" from "Avenue Q." I love when a person has so much passion for what they are doing that it shows in their actions and voice. What a beautiful, powerful and grown up voice this girl has. To see someone so young have so much passion in something is like a breath of fresh air to me. To have a talent and want to show it to people is amazing but what really gets me is not everyone has the strength to get up there and show it. I say Bravo, Emily! Back in February, YouTuber JackDanyells announced a contest to help promote Art and Writing on YouTube. In his video about the contest, "Do you support the arts on YouTube?", Jack asks the question, "Is there a place for art and writing in the digital revolution?" So far, there have been 353 video responses! Finalists in the contest are to be announced on May 9th. Links to official rules of the contest are in the description of the video. There are two $500 prizes up for grabs!

Here at YouTubeStars, we consider the entire range of videos posted on YouTube as works of art. We have supported YouTubers and their videos for TWO years now! In this post, we'll have a look and listen to two poets reading a sample of their work. We'll also watch two unique music videos - one is a classic hymn set to a classic rock song, the other is a collaboration/duet between two YouTubers.

Last month, our new friend Marina (HotForWords, #33 this week!) appeared on The O'Reilly Factor with Bill O'Reilly on Fox News. They talked about the origin of five words that Bill likes to use on his show. I was very happy to hear him mention how many Total Video Views Marina has received on YouTube! He got that data from our Total Video Views widget, which appears front and center on the www.HotForWords.com website. Excellent appearance, Marina! Last time, we mentioned comedian Fred from jklproduction (#23 this week). He spun off his Fred character to its own channel on May 1st. He already has over 4o Thousand subscribers and entered the Top 100 Chart at number 83! Watch his Mayday video. It's so stupid, it's funny!

Inspiring VioletKitty411 recently uploaded this uplifting video. She sings "Amazing Grace" to the music of "House of the Rising Sun" which was a hit for "The Animals" in the '60s. Enjoy this music video and be sure to check out more videos on the VioletKitty411 channel!
