I hope you're all having a wonderful Holiday Season! It's a busy time of year, but take a minute to watch these four videos. You'll see and hear four future Country Music Stars! Each of these young ladies has talent in singing and in playing the guitar. They are building a fanbase on YouTube so listen and Subscribe!

First, The News! What happened to YsabellaBrave? That's what her staunchest fans are asking on her website's Message Board. Here are the facts. Earlier this month, YsabellaBrave's music channel and her talk channel were suspended. Ysabella, a.k.a. MaryAnne, is one of the most popular singers on YouTube. The 29 year old, living in San Francisco, rose up the Top 100 Chart last year, peaking in the 20s back in the Spring of 2007. Although no longer in the Top 100, she had 35,636 Subscribers on December 7th, 2008. MaryAnne's popular covers of pop songs from the 1930s through more modern times, along with her original songs, led to discussions with Warner Brothers. MaryAnne recently said, "I was at one time signed with Warner until I dissolved my contract with them (which was incredibly difficult to do). I do not know if the issue youtube is having with Warner has any relevance to what happened to my channels or not." She refers to the recent order by Warner Music Group to YouTube that resulted in all Warner artists' music videos being removed from the site. This has also effected bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers.

MaryAnne has had other troubles lately. It is said that she suffers from a chronic health concern and also lost her job in December. Even with all this, she left this positive post on her site on Christmas, "Merry Christmas and God bless us, every one!!!" If you would like to donate to MaryAnne, here is a link to her PayPal page. She has provided many hours of pleasure to her fans. Please consider giving something back to MaryAnne, I did!

Now, The Videos!


Rachel Farley is a young singer with a voice that sounds like it comes from someone with years of singing history. She HAS been singing since she was 5, but she still sounds older than 13! Here's a video from Rachel in which she tells us about herself and her music. Be sure to listen to her Heidi Newfield cover of "Johnny and June" and her most recent video featuring an original song, "Country Christmas."





Savannah Berry is also 13 and also is a talented singer. She just started playing guitar but is already quite good at it! Here she is, on stage singing the Dolly Parton classic, "Jolene." Also watch her Hanna Montana cover of "I Miss You" from a year ago and her most recent vid "Probably Wouldn't Be This Way."




We've been writing about TiffanyJoAllen here since the Spring of 2007. I was one of her first 10 subscribers! Now, she has over 52 Thousand Subscribers and 12,123,215 Total Video Views! Tiffany Jo is 16 and has become quite a popular YouTubeStar! In this video, she is interviewed by the YouTraxTV team. be sure to also watch her "Santa Baby" video. She just uploaded it last week and it already has about a Quarter Million views! You can download an MP3 of the song for FREE on her website!





Celeste is a teenage singer who has already tasted success. She's been on Radio Disney and has sung on stage with the Jonas Brothers and Hanna Montana! Here is a preview of an original song called "Granddaddy's Island" which will soon be available on iTunes! Lately she has posted excellent music vids of her original songs. In this film, posted on her talk channel, she discusses Hecklers and haters. OMGitsLucy814 is one of the great new young vloggers on YT. She has made vlogs about Twilight and Harry Potter, talked about news of the day, and told us about her summer vacation. Back in July, TomsterMusic created one of the most heartbreaking videos I have ever seen. In his video "'FERAL CHILD' VIDEO PREMIERE (PLEASE read description)", he sings of a true story concerning a girl who was trapped in isolation and strapped to a potty-chair for approximately 13 years. When finally discovered, she could not speak and could scarcely walk. Indeeed, you will wonder "How could anyone do this?"





A talent I've recently happened upon is that of jennywillemstijn777. Jenny belts out notes so fine in her video "Me singing Crazy (Gnarles Barkley)", that she leaves Barkley in the dust! With such a powerful voice and beautiful features, one wonders if she could be YouTube's next greatest sensation!

Coming on the charts at number 98 is roadrunnerrecords; stop by for your daily dose of METAL! \m/ At the head of the charts, esmeedenters and miaarose swap 3rd and 4th places. Esmee picked up 2575 new subs this week, pushing her ahead of mia but still 30 thousand behind 2nd place Lonelygirl15. LisaNove moves up one spot to number 8. Is her spam campaign (automated or not) helping her rise or do people love her vids? Maybe all the controversy is helping. What do you guys think? Surprise! I'm at the CNN/YouTube Debate!

Did you watch the Democrat Presidential candidates' debate sponsored by CNN and YouTube? I did; pretty interesting! I thought it was a fresh way to ask questions and get answers at this early stage of the contest. What a LOVEly Year


Some people just look great on camera. They seem to exude personality and light up the computer monitor with their presense. HallieBaby is one such person. This British lass from Bristol has a Musicians account on YT but she does plenty of vlogs too. She has 4442 subscribers to her 51 vids and just celebrated her one year anniversary of YouTubing by putting out this retrospective of some of her shining moments from past videos. I think it's fair to say that CelestialSam is one of the nicest young ladies on YouTube. She always has nice things to say in her comments on other people's videos and she makes classy, enthusiastic and positive videos that are entertaining and fun to watch.

Here's a few items of Sam trivia from one of her websites:
"I aspire to become an professional actress. I am a serious firearm enthusiast. I eat healthy organic food. Main staples: palak paneer, pad thai, baba ghannouj, and spinach fattoush." Mmmmmmm, sounds delicious!

Sam likes to help to promote other videomakers by sending out bulletins and featuring singers' songs in her videos (like KrisShred and YsabellaBrave). She also promotes others by writing about them. This is the second time she has been a guest poster here at YouTubeStars. After you read this, please check out her first guest post. Thanks!


Daddy (Original)

Gijs a.k.a. TheTroubadourJacobs is an exceptionally talented one-man-band. His lyrics will have you tapping your toes and laughing out loud. His smooth voice and unique sound will have you begging for more. In one of his more recent videos, "Daddy," Gijs jokingly sings about his less-than-admirable father figure: "He's a beercan artist, stacks them up from the floor; every week a diffrent shape, he's got a bilion or more." In our last post, I told you about a talented lady named ChrystallineGreen who lives in Belgium. Coincidentally, I just came across another young lady from Belgium who makes YouTube videos under tha name of eveliiine. In this video, Eveline shows off her acting skills as she plays the role of several young people contemplating ways to make the world better. In this post, I'll show you three music videos. The first is from a marvelous singer who sings to purchased backing tracks. The other two are from singer/songwriters with guitars. We'll end this post with a funny but insightful comedy sketch from one of the best and most popular musicians on YouTube.

First, let's have a look at this week's YouTube Top 100 Weekly Chart. There's only one switch in positions in the Top 20 and not much movement in the rest of the chart, either! Is this the calm before the storm? Will there be a wave of new videomakers climbing the charts in the coming months, as many YouTubers begin their summer vacation? We'll just have to wait and see! There is one big mover, communitychannel. Natalie jumped up 36 positions with her 4204 new subscribers this week, to land at the Number 61 spot! Check her out!

Oh my! YsabellaBrave keeps making the best singing videos on YouTube! This time, MaryAnne sings an early 60s hit originally sung by Linda Scott. (Actually, the words and music were written by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II for the 1932 Broadway musical "Music In The Air") The song also appeared in David Lynch's enigmatic movie, "Mulholland Drive". This video is cuteness to the max! Have a look...

Shine Your Light

Here's a nice song from a singer/songwriter who goes under the YouTube name of eatmorecookies. I'm doing that right now and have to be careful not to get any crumbs in the keyboard! This Nashville man has uploaded 20 videos in the month that he has been a member. They all feature him accompanying his singing with his guitar playing. This video is eatmorecookies' newest addition. It was recorded in one take with no editing. The chord changes are enjoyable and his singing is very good. Check out this uplifting video!

Dear Ovaries (original)

As they used to say on Monty Python, "and now for something completely different..." Here is a song by singer/songwriter StitchedElf - and even she admits "...it's weird...". I think its a creative music video by a young lady with a very nice voice. Gina has uploaded 12 videos; some are originals and some are covers. They are all quite good!
