The Animators

This video shows the filming of the video that features dancers known as Animators. Animation is a subclass of popping which is a jerky style of dance made up of many quick motions followed by poses. The animator variant is named in reference to stop motion animation popular in the days before computer graphics in adventure and monster movies.

The video starts with Taylor Swift in the most sparkly outfit she has ever worn and a wig so tight that it is giving her a headache. The purpose of the segment is the same as the purpose of the entire video. The idea being put forth is that there will always be others who have something to say about you or who are trying to do things to you. But Taylor Swift's advice is to ignore them, shake it off, and do you own thing. Make the moves up as you go, and totally enjoy yourself! This is not a new point of view. Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, "Nothing is either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." It's not what happens to you, its how you react -- how you handle it, how you process it, what you do in response.

Taylor Swift finds herself among a trained and practiced group of expert Animator dancers. They execute mind blowing moves flawlessly. Taylor knows that these dancers are very controlled and precise, while all she is capable of is spastic motions. How will she handle this? She performs utterly adorkable dance moves based on whatever pops into her mind! She has this music in her mind saying it's gonna be alright. She may not be as good an Animator as the rest, but she is confident and knows she has other unique abilities, so she enjoys herself and that radiates and lights up the stage! She knows she is awkwardly ruining the great performance of the others but she is proud of her moves just like they are proud of theirs. Have a look and enjoy the Animators, and Taylor Swift doing her own dance moves! This 4 minute video already has 1.5 million views and it a must see for fans of Taylor Swift and fans of the song Shake It Off.

Outtake video #1 was the Cheerleader section. Taylor says that sometimes you feel like you don't fit in. But sometimes you can get everything you want in life without ever feeling like you fit in. The most important thing in life is to dance to the beat of your own drum and to look like you're having more fun than the cool kids! Taylor Swift prepared for the shoot by running to build up her cardio endurance. She had to do three straight days of jumping around! Watch Taylor and the other girls shake their pom poms and do various cheerleader moves including a basket toss where Taylor is caught by three guys; this is one fun video! It is nearly 4 minutes and has nearly 3 million views.

In the 80s and beyond, Robin starred in many popular movies including Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs. Doubtfire, The World According to Garp, Patch Adams, Awakenings, The Dead Poet Society and many more. Robin performed stand up comedy at break neck speed, improvising often and going off on extended joke sprees at the slightest trigger. He appeared often on late night shows leaving the host and audience gasping for air after laughing heartily.

Recently Robin Williams was a performer on American Idol Gives Back, a charity show with the American Idol judges. He played the role of the winner of Russian Idol, and did several minutes of jokes and improv. Today we present two representative videos from the long laugh filled career of Robin Williams. The first video is the pilot episode of Mork and Mindy, starring Robin Williams and Pam Dawber, with guest stars Henry Winkler as The Fonz and Penny Marshall as Laverne De Fasio. Word Crimes has Weird Al commenting on the current state of writing in the Western World. We make a lot of mistakes as we text, blog and chat with each other! Like "I could care less!" Which means you DO care. At least a little!

The video starts off as a breeze blows pages of a dictionary. At 4 seconds we see the word "accordion" with an accompanying picture of Weird Al playing an accordion. This is an allusion to his earliest videos. He played the accordion to his first song, "My Bologna" which was his version of "My Sharona" by The Knack; both songs are from 1979.

Since this is a parody of Blurred Lines, a video with nudity and sexual innuendo, it's no surprise that Weird Al has several sex references in here. Did you see them? Watch the video and see if you spot the sex jokes!

The Blurred Lines innuendo, "What rhymes with 'Hug Me'" becomes "What's a contraction?" which could be considered a sex allusion in a stretch. After all, the act that rhymes with Hug Me could result in Contractions 9 months later. :P Also, "Your particliple's dangling" is portrayed in a certain way in the video; might be a stretch again. But the 2 clear sex references I saw were #SomeCunningLinguist at 2:20 - referring to the word play on an oral sex act. Just a little sex pun! The other sex reference is blatant and is straight from any Middle School lunch room or playground. "Weird Al" has a big dic-tionary, at 3:32. Did you catch these? See any others?

Word Crimes currently has over 12 Million views. The other viral video from Weird Al's latest offering is "Tacky". It features some fairly well known celebrities dressing tacky and dancing tacky. More goofy than funny or clever, in my opinion, but really not bad! What do you think?

Well at last its almost over!The campaigning for President of the United States seems like it has been going on for years. All the political ads, the debates, the media reporting every little statement taken out of context.

Tuesday is election day and you should VOTE because it is one of the responsibilities of living in a free country.  Many people around the world wish they had some say in who is making decisions that affect their lives.  If you don't vote, you have no right to complain about how bad things are.  THIS is your chance to do something.  It's going to be a close election and every vote counts.  Educate yourself on the candidates as much as you are able, then get out and vote!

We have been writing about 10th most popular all time YouTubeStar VenetianPrincess since October 2006! She has always made creative and funny videos. In the early days, she did her funny skits. Lately she makes amazing parodies of well known pop songs and pokes fun at celebrities. In her latest vid, VP makes herself up to look like Britney Spears and sings a parody song about Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, a couple who achieved fame after starring in MTV's "The Hills". You'll laugh at the lyrics but not VP's singing voice, which is excellent!




VenetianPrincess has been making great parodies for three years now on YouTube, and it has made her the 10th Most Subscribed YouTuber! But Weird Al Yankovic has been singing parodies of pop songs since the late 70s. You've probably seen the videos for "Eat It" and "Like a Surgeon" at some point in your life. (This video of Al's song "eBay" has over 25 million views and is funny too!) Well, here's a fan made live action video for Al's funny tune, "Hardware Store" from his 2003 album "Poodle Hat." I think it is as good as many others I've seen on MTV and other video TV shows over the years. Check it out!

As part of my BA we have to create a "pop promo/music video". For this I've picked Weird Al's awesome "Hardware Store" After many long nights working on storyboards and anamatics (see my other videos) we finally had a final piece put together. Which I'm very happy to say got a rather good mark of 80.

Update: I should probably point out that 80 is a VERY good mark in UK Universities, whilst it is out of 100, 70 is a 1st which is the best you can get (3rd, 2:2, 2:1, 1) so I got the best, then some.

There are no swears in this song, and yes you do hear "automatic circumciser" which isn't what you think it is. Google for the full lyrics.

You may have seen some of the many "Google Image" based videos for this song. This is a live action "real" version, the only one I know of in existence too. It was created entirely from scratch, filmed, edited and post production by myself, Dave Hartly & Christian Allan. Enjoy what we've created, I hope you like it.

I am a big fan of Nightwish! Nightwish are a symphonic powergothic metal band from Finland, formed in 1996. Nightwish is Finland's most successful band with more than 5 million sold albums worldwide. Their music reminds one of Iron Maiden and similar 80s metal acts, but what sets them apart is their female singer Tarja Turunen who is classicly trained and has an operatic voice. (Since May 2006, Anette_Olzon sings for Nightwish.)

In 19 May, 2000, Nightwish released their third studio album Wishmaster which debuted at #1 on the Finnish album charts, and following three weeks at number one, was certified gold in Finland. The song "Wishmaster" is one of Nightwish's greatest hits. Since Nightwish is a Finnish band and the singer has a classical opera vocal style, it is often difficult to make out the words to this popular song. Kewen (I'm Erin, I'm from London and I'm a GIRL... I make films and clothes...) made this humorous attempt at deciphering the lyrics; watch and enjoy this vid which today has 8,542,318 views!

Fred is Number Four this week on the YouTube Top 100 Weekly Chart! All the kids are subscribing because they love his vids. Since he's so popular with the younger crowd, I decided to let my 10-year-old niece and her friend write this review.

Hi, this is Ashley and Kadeeja. We like Fred. All the kids in our grade watch his videos. We like him because he is stupid but funny at the same time. We like his voice and when he sings.


In Fred Stalks Judy the best part is when Fred takes the photos of himself for Judy.
It was funny because he was doing all of his photos in slow motion also because he was doing weird photo poses. Also another funny part in Fred Stalks Judy was when Fred goes into Judy’s house and then goes into her room and looks at her stuff. So I really liked Fred stalks Judy and thought it was great.




In Fred Loses His Meds it is funny because he kept saying he needed his meds and was freaking out. Also he went outside when there was a thunderstorm and people were supposed to be inside. But then he went inside screaming and looking for his meds because he said he was addicted to them and he needed them. Then his mother came home and said she took his meds on accident, and then he took his meds and was all better.




In Fred on May Day it is really funny because he laughs like an evil dude. Also he gives Judy (Fred’s lover) his mom's used underwear. Also it was funny because he sings in each video and trys to hit a high note.




In Fred Meets Bertha it is really really funny because he said when he was waiting for his mom outside a bar and then gangsters ganged up on Fred and then Fred said hay nobody messes with Fred so back off. Also it is funny because Bertha kissed Fred and Bertha told Fred to do bad things like throw a beer bottle at someone car.

With so many subscribers (over 340 Thosand!), each of their videos quickly gets over a million views. In this silly skit, Boxman gets a girlfriend. What will happen? "Humans and boxes don't intertwine!" Hmmm, is it the Montigues and Capulets all over again? Watch and see - almost 4 million people have so far!
